User names and passwords

2/15/07

Applies to:  Foxtrot LE, FoxtrotOne

Summary

Foxtrot applications user names and passwords login security features.

Explanation

1.   End users are given 3 consecutive attemps to enter a valid "User Name and Password", after the third failure, Foxtrot becomes disabled.

2.  Foxtrot’s security feature DOES NOT require an end user to change their password every so many days (i.e Every 90 days).

3.  Foxtrot’s security feature DOES NOT maintain historical password information (i.e. It does not retain a history of passwords used so it DOES NOT require that the end user to choose another password).

4.  Passwords conform to any combination of formats (alpha or numeric).  They ARE case sensitive. (i.e. If the password is set up as FOXTROT, Foxtrot or foxtrot, will not be accepted.  If the password is set up as 12345, 54321 will not be accepted.)

Note

For instructions on setting up users see the Creating user account article.
