License Error 15

Summary |
|
User receives “License Error – 15” when opening one of the applications. This error can be caused by the following reasons: incorrect path the license file, incorrect permissions to the Foxtrot Suite Folder while using the UNC (Universal Naming Code) path or not deactivating the license from a previous server before a move is performed. |

Resolution |
- Access the Foxtrot Admin Center. Click on the Workstation Setup Tab and in the License Path verify the path is pointed to the Foxtrot Suite folder where the server is installed.
- If the path is correct and you are receiving this error type the path into the windows Run center and it should take you to the location of the Foxtrot Server. Once in this location *create a new .txt file in the folder by right clicking in an unused area and selecting new Text File. Then modify and delete the file. This will confirm your permissions are working correctly.
i. If you receive an error that you are not allowed to create a file, your permissions need to be modified by an administrator to have Read/Write/Modify/Delete access.
ii. If you do not receive an error- Access the ‘System’ folder that is located in the Foxtrot Suite Folder and attempt the same test as above*. Follow directions in step i. if you receive an error.
- If the user is continuing to receive this error, deactivate and reactivate the licenses. This can be done by accessing the Admin Centers’ Global Defaults and Licensing Tab. Click the ‘Manage Licenses’ button and select the ‘Deactivate’ button, Select the correct path and click the ‘Deactivate’ button.
