Installing Foxtrot Suite v3_0 and greater

Applies to:  Foxtrot Suite v3.0 and  greater                                                                                                                                                        

Summary

Below you will find instructions for installing Foxtrot Suite v 3.0 and greater. When installing the server application the Client applications are also installed on this machine. There is instruction below for installing the Client application as well.                                                                                                                                                 

Instructions: Server  (also to be used for stand alone installation and has to be installed first)

1.        Download and run the application.

2.        During the installation guide be sure to select the server option

3.        At this time make the Foxtrot Suite Folder a shared folder. This can be done using the following steps:

a.       Right Click on Start>Click Explore>expand Program Files>Right Click on Foxtrot   Suite>Select Share Folder.

b.       While in the Sharing and Security applet>Click Permissions>Full Control>OK>close

4.        Open the Foxtrot Admin Center by Selecting Start>All Programs>Foxtrot Suite>Foxtrot Tool>Foxtrot Admin Center. The username is Admin and password is all caps FOXTROT.

5.        Click on Global Defaults & Licensing

6.        Click Manage Licenses

7.        Enter the Product Key

8.        Click Activate Licenses

9.        Select the Shared Folder

10.     Click Ok.

11.     In the section labeled Activate Licenses select the amount of licenses you wish to activate and click Activate

12.     You should get a pop up message stating success. Click OK

13.     You can now close the Admin Center and open Foxtrot.

Installation- Client

1.       The user of the Client application must have full control permissions on the Foxtrot Suite folder both on the local machine and the server path.

2.       To install the Client version you can download the same file, but during the installation wizard choose the Client option.

3.       Once installed, open the Admin Center via the start menu.

      4.       Select the Workstation Setup Tab

5.       Type the path to the shared folder that was created for the Server application in all fields necessary.

6.       Select Apply Changes

7.       Now close the Admin Center an open either of the Foxtrot applications.
