Error 3051

Summary

User is not able to open scripts from a network drive or shared folder and gets the following error: Error 3051: The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the File “your file name here” It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.                                                                                                                                                        

Resolution

If the user receives the following error when opening a script that is on a network drive or shared folder the permissions the user has on the specific network path is not set to allow read/write/modify/delete. These permissions must be enabled to allow Foxtrot to open a script that is saved in the previously mentioned locations.
