There's a Great Foxtrotter Behind Every Great Business

When you signed up for Online Banking I would wager that you didn’t stop to think about who was going to take your information, pull up your account, input your information, and click the numerous buttons and checkboxes necessary to setup your account.
We think it’s fantastic that you didn’t think about all of that, especially since you would be wrong to assume a person has to do it. Heartland Financial USA, Inc. has wisely chosen to automate their Online Banking registration with the help of Foxtrot. Why so wise? With one script they have an average yearly savings of $25,000.00 and 800 hours.
Heartland receives a list of client information each day from their 10 subsidiary banks that need to be signed up for statements. They use Foxtrot to download the reports, then using the client information they access the correct account on the bank’s internal processing website and make all of the applicable changes. While it previously took 20 hours a week to complete these requests, it now takes a click of the Foxtrot “go” button to fully integrate their Core Banking System and their Statement System with 100% accuracy. As said by the Great Foxtrotter – Charles Bertsch, “Scripting is structured, people are not.”
Something else worth an honorable mention is that they originally attempted to complete this scripting by paying a consulting company, for which they were quoted 35 hours. They then looked to EnableSoft for consulting and one of our Certified Foxtrot Specialists completed this process within 4 hours.
By eliminating a manual process that has been a staple of their day to day work, they became a textbook example of a Foxtrot success story. EnableSoft’s Mission Statement goes as follows:
We enable businesses worldwide to better perform by helping their data managers to move, merge, manage and maintain data more effectively.
Heartland fits the bill to a ‘T’. While their company was performing up to par before they used Foxtrot, they have now exceeded expectations and changed the definition of what qualifies as managing data effectively. Their company has become 800 hours and $25,000.00 more efficient with one script.
High fives all around.

Based on your assistance, I was able to successfully write a script that automatically logs a message when an error occurs without having to stop and restart the script manually for each record. Last week, this would have 'liberated' me from having to do so 104 times while the script was trying to run to completion. We will now be even more efficient with this process, plus I can incorporate my newfound knowledge to other scripts which may have similar scenarios in other areas of our bank. Thanks for setting aside some of your valuable time to follow up with my support question.
