Foxtrot RPA —¬†versions 12.0.9 and higher

Foxtrot RPA is now capable of storing multiple passwords for use when working in a web environment. A Password contains an encrypted password that can be used to log into a website using the Send Password action. A project can contain an unlimited number of Passwords, that are all saved within the project itself. When using a Password, you will be required to provide the value of the Password to ensure security. The Send Password action sends a stored Password from your project to the target. Passwords are encrypted using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit encryption method.

Creating a Password item

  1. Click Add Item (+) in the Project Pane and Select Password from the List
  2. Enter the Password name, which must be unique. Enter the password you wish to store and confirm it. Click OK.
  3. Once a Password has been created, a new Password item category will be added to the Project Pane. Any existing Passwords will be listed and can be managed from this view. Additional Passwords can also be added.

Using the Send Password action:

  1. Drag and drop the selector to the field you want to send your Password to. This will display the Target Preview, select the Send Password action.
  2. From the dropdown, select the Password that is to be sent to the targeted field. You will be required to Confirm the password before creating the action. This helps ensure that unauthorized users are not permitted to use the password. Click OK.
  3. When the action is executed, your select password will send to the targeted field.
